A native of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Corning received his bachelor’s degree in Geography at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln--- Go Big Red! After working several years in a dental laboratory, which gave him a practical perspective on the restorative process, he decided to continue his education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1985, graduating with honors, and then headed west to sunny Tucson to start this new phase of his professional career.
Dr. Corning practices a conservative approach to dentistry. He believes in treating his patients as he would like to be treated, with respect, integrity, and compassion. His emphasis is on preventative care, patient education, and providing the highest quality treatment while ensuring patient comfort. As the field of dentistry has made wonderful advances in recent years, the doctor frequently updates his skills, providing optimum care through the latest techniques and technology.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Arizona State Dental Association, and the Southern Arizona Dental Society.
Dr. Corning enjoys spending time with his family, especially when they get the chance to hike, bicycle, camp, and experience the beauties of the great outdoors together. In addition to restoring teeth, he also restores antiques and collectibles. His current project is a 1929 Buick that he and his older brother bought more than 40 years ago with money they earned delivering newspapers. He serves as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America, volunteers in his church, and takes an active interest in community affairs.
